Reading Resources was founded to help families with dyslexic learners find the resources and support needed to help them become successful. We work with individual families as well as educators and school districts to find everything from qualified dyslexia assessors, Orton-Gillingham tutor support to the detailed training needed to equip parents and teachers to better understand our dyslexics students as well as help them thrive within their learning environment.
"I have always loved stories and I learned to read because I was determined to figure it out even though I was an undiagnosed dyslexic. When my husband and I realized that not just our first grader but all four of our children were dyslexic, I was overwhelmed. Tutors and testing cost so much and I couldn’t find anyone to walk me through the process. I wanted a place to ask questions, to find support and other families like mine. I wanted cost effective tools, and tried and true methods that made reading and spelling less exhausting and more joyful. That’s why Reading Resources was created – to be all the things I wished I could have had as we helped our kids find success."

As we developed local and online support groups, a network of passionate reading coaches and a family Membership program for Central Minnesota, we soon realized that supporting our dyslexic community went beyond just family needs and we began to work with educators and schools to help them find needed resources as well.
We created classes designed to help with dyslexia screening, Minnesota's Dept of Education's Dyslexia policy as well as Accommodations and Barton Support Classes. We tracked down great apps and supportive technologies, found wonderful books that catch our reluctant reader's interest and collaborated with great colleagues on topics like Test Anxiety, Twice Exceptional and Learned Helplessness.
We still may not always have the answers to all your questions, but we are committed to helping you find them. Our goal is to support you while you support your dyslexic learners, whoever and wherever they may be.
